After chem I was in a lousy mood; I broke a beaker in lab and my partner and I could not get along today so that definitely set my mood. I walked all the way to the gym (which is on my way home from lab) and, at the last minute, decided that I really didn’t feel like lifting because I was starting to get hungry and I really needed to right a history paper. So I went back to my dorm, had 1/4 cup Pacific almond trail mix and some organic Irish breakfast tea with a splash of skim milk, and somehow got through my entire history paper in good time. The organic Irish breakfast tea is the best tea that I have ever tasted; it was just so much more “pure” than any other Irish breakfast tea I’ve tried. I am now ruined for every other Irish breakfast tea.

Lunch, however, was incredibly meh. I was feeling lazy and didn’t feel like walking to a dining hall so I scrounged around my refrigerator and made up a mish-mash lunch. I had a portobello mushroom Gardenburger on a whole wheat English muffin, a nectarine, and 1/2 cup of applesauce. I’ve decided that I really don’t like the portobello mushroom Gardenburgers; I’m glad that I tried them but I definitely will not be buying them again. Then I got to the applesauce. Because I was half asleep I forgot to check the expiration date and I got a spoonful of nasti-ness when I started eating. For the most part it tasted fine, but there were a few gross spots so obviously I didn’t eat the entire bowl and I’m definitely chucking the remaining applesauce. The redeeming factor of my lunch was definitely the nectarine. It was sweet, juicy, and just delicious. Thank goodness for that.

Now I’m off to be productive: a meeting with my advisor, psychology, and yoga class!
Did you ever go to Kate’s natural market?
I’m going on Saturday. I’ll let you know how it is!
