I am training for my first half marathon, and my training schedule is so different from yours. For example week 1 I only do a total of 20 miles (with different methods, total of 4 days running). Are you generally this active or are you following a specific training schedule? Any pointers you have would be greatly appreciated for both training and race day as I am such a newbie. Thanks!

I haven’t actually started my training plan yet. Right now I’m just building endurance/doing whatever I really feel like doing. But it sounds like your week 1 is about right
How do you think this looks for my half marathon training plan? These are my workouts for week 3.
Mon: rest day
Tues: 5 miles easy
Wed: Rest/XT- I ran an easy 4 miles
Thurs: 5 mile tempo run
Fri: 4 miles easy
Sat: Rest/XT
Sun: 9 mile long run
Looks great to me. Are you planning on doing any speed work?
Speedwork is every other week in place of the tempo runs.
